Fermentation Workshop with Cooking Class
TestTafel’s Fermentation Workshop & Cooking Class is a hands-on educational experience. Fermenting, preserving and pickling allow TestTafel's chefs to utilise scraps, make stock last longer and add new flavours to the table.
Spend an afternoon with us and your group learning together. Our chefs will introduce participants to accessible fermentation techniques they can continue at home.
In this workshop, guests will learn the basics of how fermentation can be done (how easy it actually is) and get a taste of how it can be used in cooking. To conclude, we will share a communal meal to enjoy the fruits (and veg) of your labour.
Guests leave with: A fermentation guide, two ferments made that day and two recipes for cooking with ferments.

Kombucha Workshop
TestTafel's Kombucha Workshop is a hands-on educational experience. You've asked us again and again how we make our n/a drinks, and now we're sharing how it's done. Kombucha is a staple of our drinks menu, and it's much easier to brew at home than you might think.
Spend an evening with us learning both the theory and the practice of kombucha brewing.
Learn how kombucha works, how to brew it yourself at home, and how to bring it into your cooking, so you can keep brewing with confidence on your own.
First workshop: Monday 19 October, 18:30–21:00
Guests leave with: Their own SCOBY, a litre of kombucha in first fermentation (in a Weck jar), a litre in second fermentation (in a flip-top bottle), and a booklet with the theory, flavour combinations and books for further inspiration.
Workshop price: €50 per person, with all materials included
